Sliding Doors Affair

Sliding doors and I has agreed to disagree ever since that epic kiss we had with each other in public a few years ago. Don't get me wrong, I prefer sliding doors anytime to a classic bing-bang door but our affair sees us nowhere. 

Recently at our professional development retreat, my friends son was swoon by a not so sparky sliding door that was standing viciously at our resort's dining hall. Everyone was in the dining hall having dinner when a bomb-like explosion sound happened a few feet from where my family and I sat. Those closest to it saw partly what happened and another friend of mine happened to be right in front of this boy who was then known to have brutally kissed head first with the sliding door. I bet the floor must have played a part otherwise, the boy won't get a big bleeding bump on his head and lips! Thank God there were trained nurses and doctors around. They soothed the wound in no time and the wailing stopped too! See, now you know why sliding doors and I don't click. Leave my experience out for there's nothing pretty after the big break up! Cats Can Wait

Can't hide it but I tell my cat-lover students that I have aversion towards cats. This goes down to how many bad experience I've encountered with cats in the past. The last one was when I actually garnered all my phobias and tried to pat a Siamese cat! My best friend tried to convince me that I should first try to make connections with her cat by patting it on its head. Being me with animals, taking the move is not something I would naturally do but I thought YOLO! So, I slowly extended my right hand towards the cat knowing that it was in such a calm mode!

Pawwwwwowwwmeowww!! !@#$%^

As my hands were right above the cat's head, its paws came twice faster than my ability to think of screaming! There goes my de-phobia process!

When I walked through the Entirely Pets Pharmacy, I thought cats are cute but no, thank you!

Brunch because We are Home Church-ing

Happy Sabbath readers! 

It's Sabbath today and we were supposed to prep the little boy for Sabbath school but oh look who is still lying on the bed?? 

When the wife is still in bed early Sabbath morning you know for sure that everything will be delayed throughout the whole day! Always end up with the husband making breakfast but usually magic happens when he fixes breakfast in the morning because there must be something with him and the ladle that food will always turn into scrumptious brunch! 

I hope the Lord can forgive me if I even peeped into my many apps and shop for merz apothecary while brunching! 

Exactlly, it's called home church-ing today.

This was exactly what I felt like saying after checking 120 students' bibliography note cards today! Wait, make that a virgin margarita. Oh, hold on a sec...virgin??

Poorest Songkran

Songkran has been a time where we used to look forward to every year because as teachers, this is one of the only break we get after long weeks of school! When days became weeks and weeks became months, we totally can't think of any place better to spend our Songkran other than to stay at home!

When Hobbit and I thought about the heat, the rain, the splashes, the burns...What better way to spend this holiday at home doing spring cleaning -- I see the junks inside my living room's closet screaming for us to notice that they needed a much better place; the kitchen sink dying to be pampered with vinegar and lime; the colorful yarns trapped inside the drawers yelling to be popped open...
